K2 Management was founded in 2007 by Per Melgaard and Lars Hammershøj to provide practical consultancy and project management services based on knowledge gained through hands-on experience. Market demand for services has enabled the organisation to grow through the recruitment of specialists in all areas of project planning and implementation.
To enhance our services in the key UK and German markets K2 Management established local K2 Management offices at the beginning of 2010, working in partnership with Mike Prowse (UK) and Peter Steinfeld (Germany). In 2011 the K2 Management group was further expanded with the opening of a USA office headed up by Carsten Ploug Jensen.

MANAGEMENT TEAM:
Henrik Stamer
Henrik is Managing Director of the K2M group since 10/2011 and has work experience within general management, management consultancy, risk management, project management, contract management etc. Henrik has significant industry experience, from both the offshore wind farm owner side at Elsam (now DONG) and from Vestas Wind Systems, where he was Director and head of the Global Risk Management department.
Per Melgaard
Per is co-founder of K2M and is a highly experienced Project Director and business manager. He has been involved in wind farm projects since 2001, initially with NEG Micon and then as a Project Director with Vestas Offshore and Vestas China. Since forming K2M he has undertaken a range of Project Management and Project Director roles for clients.
Lars Hammershøj
Lars is co-founder of K2M and has a strong history of experience in the wind farm market. He has previously worked for turbine manufacturers NEG Micon, Vestas and Siemens in Australia, Asia Pacific and Europe. While with K2M Lars has performed a range of Project Management, Package Management and marine/installation advisory roles.
Mike Prowse
Mike has extensive experience of offshore wind farm construction, having worked on wind farm projects for the last decade. His experience includes both offshore cable installation and heavy lift actvities through his roles with GMSL and A2SEA. He is currently performing an offshore installation Package management role for a German wind farm developer.
Peter Steinfeld
Peter´s background is as a Senior Manager in wind farm project development. He has worked in Deutsche Essent, and as MD of both Winkra and Essent Wind Germany. During this time he led the development of the Nordsee Ost project prior to its sale to RWE. At K2M Peter continues to perform Project Director roles for offshore wind development companies.
Carsten Jensen
Carsten has worked in the wind farm market since 2002 in a range of Project, Package and Contract Management roles with Vestas Northern Europe, Vestas Offshore and Vestas Wind Systems in both Europe and the Far East. Carsten has been Project Manager on a number of offshore wind projects since joining K2M in 2009 and is now heading up the US office.
